Spring '10 semester: Jazz Kitchen/Noodles from Scratch!
This Winter, preschoolers use their real-life experiences playing in the park to create imaginative, storytelling scenarios with music. Each week provides preschoolers one uninterrupted session of imaginative play that's guided in a very specific, sequential way—with a special sharing time with parents in the last 15 minutes of class. Home Materials include the magazine-style "Jazz Kitchen" Family Guide and a Home CD, the "Noodles from Scratch" hardcover book and CD, an apron, wire whisk, wooden spoon, and spatula, and a pair of green sandblocks -- all for only $35!! (Miss Lindsay got a special deal this semester and is passing it along to you!)
Imagine That Overview: Our program includes ensemble songs, listening skills, peer-interaction, whole-body movement, and creativity -- all of which are part of developing your child’s musicality in a cooperative setting. The basics of music notation will be introduced through simple, fun music theory games. Parents and caregivers relax for 30 minutes of this 45-minute class while kids participate on their own with a caring instructor, then enjoy participating with your child in the last 10-15 minutes of class during Sharing Time, where you'll also learn about Home Activities you can enjoy together throughout the week. Watch a virtual preview.
"What do I do with my younger child?" Not to worry! Your preschooler will enjoy a stimulating, developmentally-appropriate Kindermusik experience while you and your other children play in the lobby. During the last 15 minutes of class, you and your other children are invited into the classroom for some learning-together fun during "Sharing Time"!
