| Tips for Making the Most of Class Time If you can, plan to arrive 3-5 minutes early. Arriving a little early provides time for your child to settle in to the musical environment, and for you to connect with other parents and caregivers. Be sure to dress comfortably! You'll have so much more fun if you do! Follow the Child... The best thing you can do during class is to focus on engaging your little one in participating in his or her own way, even if your child's favorite way to experience the activity is different from what the instructor is demonstrating. Also, you and your child are likely to get more out of each class if you can save conversations for Gathering Time (the first 3-5 minutes of class) and Leaving Time (the last few minutes of class). Sing and Play at Home! You and your child will benefit enormously from the Kindermusik experience, especially if you make active use of your Home Materials. Many parents report that they see a completely different child at home as they share Kindermusik activities there. Exploring your Home Materials during the week will make all the difference in your child's comfort and security in the classroom, and your child's learning will skyrocket! |
